Sama Dating App

An experimental product design exploration focused on rethinking modern dating through the lens of explainable compatibility.

This project started as a design brief to imagine an astrology powered dating experience for users in India, but evolved into a deeper inquiry into how people make emotional decisions, manage uncertainty, and seek reassurance while forming relationships.

Instead of optimizing for speed or volume, the work explores how a dating product might reduce anxiety by helping users understand why a connection feels aligned or strained. Astrology is used not as a rule system, but as a language for explanation and reflection.

The outcome is Sama, a conceptual dating app built around the idea of clarity over guesswork. The work covers user research, behavioral insights, product strategy, and end to end experience design. It intentionally prioritizes emotional safety, trust, and interpretability over conventional engagement mechanics.
